Don't know how true this is, but it would eventually locate those living in the shadows, for better or worse.

This is a terrible idea. It is bad enough that the government is fast becoming the Orwellian Big Brother that 1984 warned us all about. In this day and age, especially for those associated with the military, it doesn't matter anyway. If one believes that they are not already in at least one database, one is naive. Get a Driver's License now and they require a Social Card and Birth Certificate so they can put a little gold star on the license proving that you are in fact you. All that goes into a database so the TSA can scan your ID and say Yes or No to air travel. Get a professional license, most require fingerprints, all that goes into a database. Join the military, and they have your photo, Social Number, Blood Type, and Fingerprints all right on hand. So to think that this hasn't been happening is ludicrous. The fact that it is happening in "the land of the free" is equally ludicrous.
