Pentagon says Supreme Court's Roe ruling won't affect abortions on military facilities

Except for the fact the only abortions that can be done at MTFs are if the person's life is in danger or the fetus is no longer viable. So - nothing has changed then. This doesn't help those servicemembers who need or want an abortion and don't meet those guidelines and can't get the care off base if they are in a state that has outlawed it.

Also - don't start with me about "the life of the person is in danger" because that's up to the physician that's seeing them. I have seen horror stories of women who were miscarrying and had a hell of a time getting an abortion - during Roe or now post. It's even worse post because now doctors have to get tied up on the phone with lawyers to make sure they're not violating any laws in certain states. Meanwhile you have a patient bleeding nearly to death.

That's good to know. Pentagon's number one priority is abortion. We need to get our act together and start worrying about Taiwan and ending this war in the Ukraine before it starts spilling over to other countries. SecDef and CofS Milley need to resign because of their Woke ideas. Milley saying he's white and he wants to understand his White privilege, I wanted to throw up.

The Supreme Court's ruling does NOT prohibit abortion. It is up to the States. Huge difference. As far as military bases goes, it falls under federal law, not State (with some exceptions). Currently there is no federal law that prohibits or allows for abortion. So it is up to the federal government on how they want to handle abortions on federal land.
