If they are going to bar Trump from the ballot in reference to the 14th Amendment they will need a conviction, otherwise its just an unproven accusation. Who is he to judge anyway, a rich beer maker, that's all.
If that is all it takes then the voting system is a failure and can be compromised by anyone claiming anyone else did something to be invalidated.
