American voters are overwhelmingly negative, as 53 voters (not percent) say “idiot” is the first word that comes to mind when they think of the president, followed by 44 voters who say “liar” and 36 voters who say “incompetent,” according to a Quinnipiac University national poll released today. In the same open-ended question, allowing for any answer, 35 voters say “leader,” with 35 voters saying “strong,” 26 voters saying “a**hole,” 21 voters saying “great,” 19 voters saying “moron,” 18 voters saying “arrogant” and 17 voters saying “disgusting,”

As with any polling, if it supports your position you tend to go with it, if it doesn't it's hogwash. I've provided a link to the actual Quinnipiac poll/survey. The question asked: "4. What is the first word that comes to mind when you think of President Trump? (Numbers are not percentages. Figures show the number of times each response was given. This table reports only words that were mentioned at least five times.)" Of the 46 words, 30 are negative and 16 are neutral/positive. With a 2-1 ratio, I tend to believe more Democrats were represented in this poll simply based on the responses. Methodology for this poll does not mention the percentage of Dem/Rep polled which would add more credibility. Lastly, the majority of questions asked in this poll are questions specific to Trump the person and not Trump's policies.
I support Trump and if they asked me I would have responded with words like idiosyncratic, unconventional and reliable. No question Trump does not fit the normal mold of a president and is one of the reasons he won. People were looking for a shake-up in Washinton and that's what they got. It's no surprise that many people despise Trump and that's really all this article is about.
