PO2 William Allen Crowder - What does free association have to do with persecution? I'm sure many other bakers would have been happy to have the business. If the lesbian couple were truly offended, they could have taken their gripe to the public through boycott, rather than appealing to the heavy hand of government. I'm with you on this one, SFC George Smith .

BTW, PO2 William Allen Crowder, way to play the persecution card. Well done!

PO2 William Allen Crowder - I don't hate anyone. However, this man fined a bakery owner $135,000 for not baking a cake. It was clear case of prosecutorial misconduct and overreach and it was done in an attempt to put someone out of business because they disagreed with him on a political, religious. and social level. When you take a political act you are then subject to the will of the people who elect you. Clearly the people have spoken in this case!

PO2 William Allen Crowder - Yes, I love to see a bully get his or her just deserts (as it were)! I also fully believe that "All are equal before the law and are entitled without any discrimination to equal protection of the law." FYI: That statement is from the UN's Universal Declaration of Human Rights and actually goes much further than the similar statement in the US Constitution. In this case the baker was not treated equally under the law and was "unfairly and severely" punished by a publicity seeking bureaucrat who forgot that he was an elected official. So again, he got what he deserved.

Playing the persecution card again, @PO2 William Allen Crowder. You really are a Master.
