SGT (Join to see) We ‘visited’ one of Beatrice Potter’s homes in a village in the Lakes District of Britain. I do not recall the name of the village.
What I recall is the horribly twisted, narrow road that I drove on to get there. After spending a pleasant and ‘dry’ afternoon, I got ‘smart’ and actually asked a native for an easier road to use for returning to a main highway.
That suggested route was Worse! As I was driving down a country lane with stone walls on either side, my wife would ‘duck’ when she saw a stone protruding more than the others! I did require a Pint or two that evening!
