Anyone remember the days in the Army when they didn't try to reinvent the wheel every other month....or boots in this case? Seemed to me these were the most beautiful things ever made, and were awesome with a hardcoat spit shined mirror finish (no leather luster). In fact, these ARE the most beautiful, easy to maintain, and when wet, quick to dry boots I ever owned. Altimas are a close second....

Not to be a smart ass ,but wouldn't it be a hoot if a certain nation is given the contract for these new boots,maybe the same place that does Nike sneakers and has let's say a history with jungles and war not to mention Ho Chi Minh sandals.
