That's when I went to basic training! I have lived a very full life since that time, ups and downs, poor, rich, poor again and now securely middle class.
It's unreal and unfair that this guy has been free all that time and potentially lived a full life. Hopefully his victims family was relatively able to do the same.
I'm sure they will be somewhat lenient since he presumably hasn't committed any other crimes while on the run. IMO opinion this is why his punishment should be harsher, but they have to follow the laws that were in place at the time of the crime.
It will be an interesting case to follow.

Let's hope they have the evidence and if he's judged guilty, then yay! He took the life of another. They really need to find our how he stayed on the run. Thats so they know what to look for in other cases.
