Excellent article! To answer the question posited in the comments, I cannot really think of one. Perhaps before I was old enough to be aware of leadership?

Sgt Wayne Wood - Eisenhower, definitely. Because he knew the true cost & burden of war.

Sgt Wayne Wood - I love the Tom Selleck movie (Ike: Countdown to D-Day) where he played Ike. It is a good portrayal of the torment he had to have gone through.
