MSgt Stephen Council - Yep, you are so right. I live in a neighborhood where a lot of folks drive expensive cars (but not us). If you are out in the morning, the McDonald's is lined up with cars with parents getting their kids breakfast on the way to school. In the evenings, you cannot find a place to park at the Chik-fila. Makes you wonder if anyone fixes real food and sits down to meals anymore. We have a huge obesity problem, a Type II diabetes epidemic, and yet few adults I know seem to get the connection.

Susan Foster - I am not saying that I am perfect, far from it. But I watch my neighbors trying to get their kids ready for school sports and the first thing they see is never that "Johnny" is over weight! And then they wonder why they don't play much...heaven forbid someone not make the team because they are out of shape! Any BTW: how ridiculous is it that a kid is out of shape?!?! My brother and I ran/walked/skateboarded/bicycled everywhere we went. Physical conditioning was NEVER a factor. When I was 15 I was running a full mile in less that 4:30!, and that was without specific training, I just went to track practice and did it on day three.

It is hard as an adult to blame the products and not the parents instead Susan Foster

A1C Ian Williams - Agree. It's a business and they will make what sells. If people didn't buy happy meals, they wouldn't sell them. If you've never read "Fast Food Nation" it will make you think twice when you eat at fast food places! LOL
