I have been to DC numerous times to see the Wall. The MRFA holds a ceremony each Veterans Day where we lay a wreath at the Wall to commemorate men of the 9th Inf Div and another to commemorate the sailors of the Riverine Force. Never had a problem with taking pictures at any of the monuments. However if the Park Service ever told me I couldn't take pictures, they would have received a discourse on what they could do with their jobs.

MAJ Montgomery Granger Bureaucracy at its finest! Stop harassing veterans who are likely to be having an emotional experience already. These are some petty functionaries with too high a sense of their own importance in life.
