It doesn't seem like 60 years ago, does it?
I was a college freshman and had gone home.
An aunt who worked in an Amarillo bank told my grandmother and me to turn on the television, that JFK had been shot.
At first we didn't know the extent of the president's wound or wounds, and then word came from Dallas' Parkland Hospital that JFK was dead.
Remember that photo of four-year old John John saluting at his father's burial?
So, so sad. . . .
