I'm just now entering that phase of my life where I'm less willing to believe what I was told, suspicious of what I see, and generally convinced only when I've given something a shot (no pun intended) myself. I used to hate on Glocks...then I fell in love with Glocks...then I decided Glock is what it is; a crossover for when you need capacity, but don't want to carry around a carbine, and money is always a problem. With rifles, I keep trying to love the 5.56/.223 because well...it's an AR, and who doesn't want to shoot an AR? That being said, I was truly amazed (once my skills reached any substantive level...which is still debatable) how much difference there is at the "intermediate" ranges. I "understand" the 25 (or 36) yard zero, and what that does for me at say 250 yards. Still, I can hammer away with a larger "flatter" round, on iron sights, and "seem" to have better accuracy at anything further than that (which honestly, is kinda a crap shoot anyway). Before I invested in the 6.5 Creedmoor, I'd want to compare it to a few things...like the AR-10 in 7.62x51 ;)

I have 3, 6.5CM rifles now. I built an AR-10 in 6.5CM. I wound up building two more for my boys as well since it was such a great shooter. No comparison to the 7.62X51. 6.5 is way flatter shooting and good out PAST 1,000m. I promise you'll love it.
