We have a Frenchie who sleeps on the bed. No worries about her waking us - we have to worry about waking her.
We also have a lab/retriever mix who is allowed on the bed, but usually sleeps on the floor at the foot of the bed.
Neither negatively affect our sleep, as far as I can tell.
