This is another breaking of a norm by Trump. He accused the other side without evidence of cheating in the election and then when his supporters rose up and stormed the capitol we (rightly) condemned them.
The problem is, Trump tends to accuse people of stuff he himself does. If he actually does cheat in 2024 and "wins", they will use our reaction to Jan 6th to say any protests or action against a truly stolen election are the same thing.
This is the problem with breaking norms and claiming that elections were stolen when they were not. What will that mean if an election actually is stolen? Our ability to react to such an event has been substantially compromised. True damage has been done.

WHY DOES THE HEADLINE SAY VETERAN? There is no need for that...this person acted as a civilian..."A former National Guard member "...his veteran status had nothing to do with it...new media is trying to paint DoD as a training ground for violent extremists of all kinds and nothing could be further form the truth...yes we have and have had extremist in our ranks. We are a microcosm of society and we get all kinds...BUT his National Guard status had nothing to do with his actions that day and I will state adamantly that he and all the others were wrong...no excuse for what they did and I hope they all get the justice they deserve but you don't hear headlines like former COP/TEACHER/STEEL WORKER/CEO etc before any other names or headlines...just the media trying to stir the crap pot on a hot day.

Lt Col Scott Shuttleworth
SGT (Join to see) - It is a statement of fact but what is the relevance? That is my point or are you just one of those people only picks out the issues you want to argue about?

Lt Col Scott Shuttleworth The relevance is the shocking nature that many feel when one of us turn on our nation in an attempt to overturn and election and install the loser of said election. Civilians would expect that of these wannabes who have never served a day in uniform but when one of us do this it shakes their Faith in us and they wonder if we are worthy of their trust. That is why its relevant.

SGT (Join to see) - I somewhat agree with you. But the way the media deals with it and portrays it (not fully in this article but in others I have read) is that all veterans are war mongers and extremists...that we train our people to be that way that they got their training in the military so they could come out and do things like this. That is the part I don't like and wish they would give veterans a fair shake...but that isn't going to happen. We are a nation that is patriotic on July 4th, Memorial Day, and Veterans Day when we get days off or when the shit hits the fan...other than that we are just a nuisance that rains violent extremists and it enables our politicians to use it as a cash cow for the government.
