Except she lied to America and the Families of the dead. To me that's inexcusable.

PVT (Anonymous) - The motive for the attack, the reason for lack of action, that there actually was a lack of action, her whereabouts during the incident... The list is virtually endless.

In addition, when the families of the victims came forward with what she told them, she accused them of lying.

SP5 Christine Conley well she could have told the truth and not blaimed it on a video and then to add insult to injury, she called the families of the victums liars. Is that really a person you want to trust? Lastly no one knew how long this was going to last. They should have sent help. Its easy to sit back now and say no one could have made it even though I believe that is wrong. But during, no one knew yet they sat on there hands, because Obama feared he would lose the election over it. So they all LIED for political gain. Thats wrong... I'm sorry

FOR CRYING OUT LOUD!!!!

Evidently, there is a reason why JAG officers are not line officers, and not eligible to assume command of line units.

I will not go through the extensive course of action I laid out in a previous post. Fixed wing air assets from Aviano, to Sigonella, to Benghazi. Rotary wing assets from Sigonella, Air lift Seabees or other viable ground combat force. Request assistance from Nato Allies that had combat forces on the ground.

Approximately FIVE MONTHS prior to the attack, Ambassador Stevens made it clear that security was inadequate. FIVE MONTHS!!!! In that time period, contingency plans should have been drawn up. Military and civilian intelligence knowing that there was an active threat in the area, should have had a 24/7 team looking for indicators that the contingency plan needed revision. FIVE MONTHS!!!! Pull them out or protect them!!!! FIVE MONTHS!!!!

US Officials were notified that an attack was in place somewhere between 15-20 minutes after the start of the attack. But no one told POTUS, SecDef, Or SecState until almost one hour had passed. A CIA team was en route almost immediately. They knew that immediate reaction was necessary given the situation. But people all the way in DC leaders did not listen to the people on the ground for FIVE MONTHS!!!!? 28 minutes after the attack commenced a CIA team was en route, they were put on hold for 28 minutes. WHY!!!!!? If plans were kept up to date, the duty desk should have had the authority to issue the message "Execute Operation Order _____" as soon as they knew the attack was underway.

If the MEU was not in the Mediterranean WHY NOT!!!!!? The highest levels knew for FIVEMONTHS!!!!Within 45-90 minutes the first elements of the MEU should have been on the way. I do not know the time constraints of The USAF contingency squadrons but I would expect it was the similar. FIVE MONTHS!!!!?

No one in CONUS knew how long those four men were going to hold out. The fact that no one issued an order to try is down right malfeasance. At any point before contact was made those forces could have easily been put on hold on the deck at a expeditionary LZ, in the air, or recalled. Maybe it was a qualitative decision between four lives and fuel costs? I cannot think of a single acceptable reason to not ride to the sound of the guns.

The assertion that nothing could be done is false. FIVE MONTHS!!!!?

Right on the money sir with your assessment of the event. More...a whole lot more could have been done to save these men but no one apparently was listening and if they were they didn't care!

SPC Andrew Griffin Absolute BS... She lied and continues to lie.

In addition, the decision to not send military assistance while the incident was going down was pure and simple dereliction of duty, whether a "stand-down" order was given or not. Nobody knew when the incident would end, if there would be follow-on attacks, etc., etc.

Not immediately sending help because, as the Administration stated, they would not have arrived in time is akin to the police not responding to an armed robbery or rape in progress because it might be over by the time they arrived on the scene. Pure unadulterated BS... Heads should have rolled over that...
