No one should be forced to register their weapons or get an ownership license for a Constitutional right. Many states do not require registration or licensing of firearms. Many states allow open carry as long as one is not being a nuisance.

Should we force the Press to register journalists and license their keyboards? A news article can do more damage than a single pistol.

Buying Sudafed is not that difficult and is not a right. Article is incorrect in their understanding of purchasing pseudoephedrine.

Source; The Combat Meth Act of 2005 Q&A - "If a person buys a single package containing not more than 60 milligrams of pseudoephedrine (one 60 mg tablet or two 30 mg tablets), the individual does not have to provide identification or sign the logbook. This exemption does not apply to ephedrine or phenylpropanolamine. This exemption applies to logbook and identification requirements only; regulated sellers selling these single packages of pseudoephedrine must self-certify with DEA and comply with all other requirements of CMEA."

LTJG Richard Bruce They don't compare the signatures anyway. My signature in the logbook has been "This is retarded" "Fuck You" "Fuck Off" "I don't cook meth" "Sinus issues not meth" and my favorite "Not Signing This"

That may well be the case for legal purchases of Sudafed and guns PO1 William "Chip" Nagel
As most of us know, Sudafed contains a key ingredient [Pseudoephedrine] used by amateur chemists to produce the illegal drug methamphetamine or crystal meth.

How much control of our lives is it worth to pretend to stop drugs ? Meth is no harder to get than it was but cold medicine is,

PO1 William "Chip" Nagel - I haven't purchased a gun yet although I fired many in my lifetime as a soldier.
I am very familiar with meth which I used in my teenage years. I have seen what it does in terms of suicide and abusive behavior by users firsthand.

SFC James Sczymanski - control laws only apply to law-abiding citizens which is the basic problem with gun control laws and many others including those focused on illegal-drug manufacturing and distribution.
