In Search Of... The Coming Ice Age

Last night while buying tickets online for my upcoming vacation to Central America, this YouTube video from Leonard Nimoy (Mr. Spock from the original Star Trek)popped and started playing automatically. Maybe it was Providence that the "In Search of "video was discussing the late 70s fear of a coming Ice Age because of severe cold wave that paralyze cities and caused numerous people to freeze to death in their cars. I am aware of the current NASA's data of shrinking icecaps and Glaciers breaking off into the Southern Hemisphere . I am aware of the last few years the Northwest Passage is open some of the year for tanker traffic. Today, bringing the headline that Vladimir Putin telling us which cities he is targeting with his nuclear Arsenal. Maybe we will have a nuclear winter if we are like our Canadian and European allies who put less than 2% of their money for defense. Newbie Loca Cortez still sounds like Chicken Little saying we have to stop having kids and put all our resources for the Manhattan Project size climate change mitigation model. In my opinion, we should do a balance but not by jacking up fuel prices and bending over consumers with carbon taxes on your gasoline, Natural Gas, Propane especially when that stupid tax revenues are not used for anything other than to support pet projects in the government budget. We saw what happened with tobacco settlement a decade ago when the money was not used to help smokers quit. Some provinces in Canada didn't use the carbon tax money towards climate change mitigation. France recently had a climate change carbon tax but that money was used to lower the deficit but that stopped once the yellow vests rioting in Paris brought the government to its knees. We need to focus on defense and improving NATO. We have threats from Iran, China, Russia and possible other threats maybe even from India and Pakistan where a nuclear exchange can become a big nuclear exchange and we have a global winter. That would really disappoint algor, Jane Fonda, Loca Cortez and Bernie Sanders if we had a nuclear winter and we couldn't charge the survivors of the nuclear Holocaust a climate change carbon tax anymore. LOL
