Some interesting facts in the article about the star of our solar system - in addition to it being a Main Sequence star in mid-life, destined to briefly become a Red Giant, as it transforms into a White Dwarf.
It is theorized White Dwarfs transform into Black Dwarfs and stated that the universe has not existed long enough for Black Dwarfs to develop, so we have never found one.
That sort of shoots the expectation of a timeless, infinite, eternal universe in the foot. LOL However, I think what that actually suggests is that we probably need to revisit, learn more about, and revise what we think we know about origin.
One of the facts that I haven't spent much time considering is this one which seems really intriguing:
"The Sun rotates on its axis as it revolves around the galaxy. Its spin has a tilt of 7.25 degrees with respect to the plane of the planets’ orbits. Since the Sun is not solid, different parts rotate at different rates. At the equator, the Sun spins around once about every 25 Earth days, but at its poles, the Sun rotates once on its axis every 36 Earth days."
