I cry every time I see this. I was one of "those" kids. However, so were a few others who helped destroy the halcyon images you'll see in this video. I'm beginning to think that they were the ones who couldn't get over being hurt when they fell while playing. That they were the ones who didn't make the team. That they were the ones who set up lemonade stands and nobody bought. That they were the ones who didn't get the girl or guy they wanted. They are the ones who became politicians and bureaucrats. They're showing us who's boss now, aren't they?

Yep. I made it too! No seat belts in cars, let alone baby or child seats. Swimming in lakes and rivers instead of nice "clean" pools. Breathing second-hand cigarette smoke nearly everywhere. Playing outside all day and having to be home "before dark" like the video said. Playing soldier and riding bikes were two of our main activities all summer. You want something extra, you got to work to earn the money: mowing lawns, raking leaves, babysitting little kids. It's a wonder I survived.

Where did it go ? If one wanted to be found in the neighborhood, all one had to do is look for the bicycles... Ahh .... The good ole Daze of past !
