When in recruit training at Cape May, NJ (USCG), we would have "Tick Patrols" in the shower after returning from the rifle range. The most I had on me at one time was five. We used lighters to get them to cleanly release. No modesty in the service. Parents need to check their young children in the shower. Once a tick falls off, it is easy to see and kill in the tub.
