These pictures from pre-revolutionary Iran remind me in some respects of Austin Powers Man of Mystery fashion shoots. It's too bad that the Shah of Iran cut back severely on civil rights and eliminated political parties in the mid-seventies which was one of the many reasons that caused him to be overthrown in 1979. I know about the corruption but the extreme radical Shia Hezbollah backing Iran is now a threat to Israel and its neighbors today and friends with Russia and possibly having a clandestine program to make a nuclear warhead similar to what North Korea did years before.

The Iran nuclear deal at President Obama agreed to only postpones their nuclear program by about 10 years. Then all the sanctions go away. It looks like they will get their atomic bomb and they got billions of dollars in money that had been frozen since the time of the shaw given back to them which is a reward for bad behavior.
