Really? Put the federal government in the hands of a single state? I don't think so. There was a reason, a very good reason, DC was set outside of statehood. And it is written in the Constitution.

Exactly! Or Guam. Okinawa used to be in that list but we gave it back to Japan. We also have American Samoa. But let's ignore all these great places that *could* be granted statehood in favor of mucking up the Constitution and our federal government.
