There are too many people in our country right now with little or no time downrange, attempting to incite active conflict. They seem not to understand that actual sectarian violence is not war as depicted in "war movies". I have seen sectarian violence up close and personal in Kosovo and in the former Yugoslavia. It is mass graves, it is murder, fear and misery on a scale that no one has ever seen in the US. There were brief glimpses of it to be had during our Civil War (AKA "The War of Northern Aggression") but the personal character of the men in charge prevented that war from descending into the level of brutality usually seen today. Considering the nihilism displayed by most leaders today, I have no doubt that sectarian conflict in the US today would rapidly become a war where no quarter would be expected and none offered.

Did you notice how unprepared most of the individuals in the clips appeared for the possibility of an outbreak of limited hostilities? Fat bodies with a lot of lip and swagger, carrying firearms unsafely, verbally accosting passers-by even when they had no idea what, if anything, they might have been armed with. If it ever really gets down to brass tacks, the insurrectos who believe they are currently in control will be stunned by how temporary their battlefield superiority is. Only the professional soldiers on both sides will still be operational after the first month.
