Every Year Halifax, Nova Scotia sends a massive Christmas tree to Boston, Massachusetts to thank them for the response from Boston traveling to Halifax after that explosion to help People there. The largest amount of aid came from Boston and too this day their is an annual lighting of that tree sent down from Nova Scotia Canada to Boston to thank them. Shown in the picture here is the lighting of that tree in Boston from Canada on December 1st, 2022

That is an awesome fun fact. The US and Canadian Red Cross organizations learned to coordinate after this disaster.

I remember reading about this quite a number of years ago. It's bizarre to read about how much of the town was involved in the explosion.
