The Earth is pummeled by bits and pieces of space debris on a steady basis, but most bits of space are to small to reach Earth but do burn up & disintegrate in the sky... but what if... an asteroid had a space trajectory which, after millions of years had Earth in its path! Yep you guessed it!!! There is one coming and it's name is "Apophis" and it has it bead on planet Earth and its trajectory was identified to intersect with that of Planet Earth! In the year 2029 (Idon't believe I will be around then.) be aware and watch and pay attention of this video...

They say that's what made dinosaurs extinct, but we've since learned how hit asteroids with rockets to change its trajectory so who kmws.

They have actually changed the trajectory of an asteroid by impacting it with an old probe. Actually that happened within the last year.
