I was wondering what the outcome of this was going to be. I fly with someone in my airline who served with this guy and was convinced he was set up.

There has to be more to this….45 is common enough and did ballistics match? Also, why would his dog tags be in the couples home?

Not saying he did or did not commit the crime. The information provide is flimsy, AT BEST. Of course it's just what we have to read, and they only release what "they" want us to believe. Having sat in and ON Court-Martials I have NO RESPECT for the system. They are more of a eye wash to say "THE PERSON GOT A TRAIL". The court room is set by the tone of the command. What's in vogue today. Did the chain of Command like the person or not. I know, we are talking about murder. Yet, without ALL the facts, it's unfair to to past judgment.
The military lawyers could careless about the person being charged. Most don't have enough experience to be in a Court-Martial. Especially when dealing with a persons life.
I have personally witness a young enlisted man sent to prison based Solly on an accusation. NO PROOF, NO WITNESS, NO EVIDENCE, just the accusers accusation. It was a sexual assault case. Prosecution couldn't make a logical connection and the defense could have careless to put any effort forward to defend this man. BUT, it was a sexually assault accusation and all men are guilty, regardless of facts!
I sat in that courtroom in totally disbelief of what was happening. I was there strictly for Officer Professional Development (OPD). At a recess I asked the defense attorneys why HE AND SHE were not ask obvious questions. I about died at the answer. "Hey, the military is all about sexually assaults' cases and if a female makes a claim we have to support the military on making an example." WHAT? Even if the guy is innocent? Doesn't matter.
SO, IF this guy did kill these people. DAMN RIGHT, I AGREE WITH PRISON! But were all the facts TRUELY presented? Competent lawyers? What was the commands influence?
What we have been shown is only a sound bite of what the military wants up to think.
