The devil is in the details. How do they define “domestic violence”? Does it include loud and/or angry words without any physical contact? If so, the vast majority of married and cohabiting soldiers need to separate to protect their careers from that crime that WILL happen some day if they don’t.

About time, sat on and was senoir officer of several Court Martials where domestic violence was an underlying problem.

As an MP on garrison duty back in '64, I saw some very, very bad stuff,, and usually the perp walked away without any serious consequences. Always hated getting a "disturbance in quarters" call.
Glad they are finally doing more on this.
