I saw the Governor interviewed and his position was that the order only allowed the NG (perhaps others) to seize/obtain items they might need in response to the state of emergency in the execution of their mission. I am not sure that translates into seizing weapons from civilians. Perhaps the order was poorly written. I did not hear of an instance where the NG seized any weapons from private citizens though.

Are you referring to this thread you posted earlier on this topic? I don't see anyone saying it was fake. I see people noting the difference between authorizing the seizure if military necessity dictates, versus your headline title that says the gov actually ordered the seizure of weapons.

U.S. Virgin Islands Gov. Orders Seizure of Privately Owned Guns, Ammo Ahead of Hurricane -... |...
That is an order I would not follow. Anybody following this order are commiting treason to their oath in my eyes.

Really?
We do not need to go over this again. He did and it was lawful.
If you want to complain about something like this, complain about the EO out of the President's Office that does the same thing and has been signed by every president between Eisenhower and at least Obama. I do not know if Trump has signed it yet, but he probably has.
