News from the Bigoted side doing its best to undermine. this country. Then again it is the Daily Caller.
If breaking concrete blocks with your head makes one a soldier I will have to disagree with your position. Frankly I have no need for such stuff. I can pump rounds into cantaloupes all day at 1100 yards plus.

Was fortunate to have had the opportunity to train under Grandmaster (GM) Duk Sung Son, the co-founder of Tae Kwon Do. At the first class following the DMZ “tree trimming incident” where DPRK soldiers disarmed and slaughtered US troops, the GM broke protocol and had everyone stand around him in a semicircle. He then asked: “did you see the news?” Everyone said yes as it was the lead story everywhere, The GM then raised his hand to the top of his head and said: “I”m this high.” He then lowered his hand a few inches and said, “North Koreans are just this high.” He then said: “the boys at West Point didn't take my class.” After a brief pause he looked across our class and said: “You study. Good.” End of lecture and then class began. Have never forgotten the GM’s wise words.

The DMZ 'gardening job' that almost sparked a war
In 1976, North Koreans killed two US officers in the DMZ over a tree, sparking a huge military gardening operation.

Sgt Sheri Lynn
CPT (Join to see) what a gift to study with him. I bet he had a lot of those types of brief, though powerful lecture lessons.

Sgt Sheri Lynn —> I didn’t fully realize it at the time; however, yes it was indeed a gift. Years later I went back to his dojo in NYC to pay my respects and the GM invited me to stay and watch the class and he introduced me as one of his former students. When I originally got his book I never thought to ask him to autograph it and he was kind enough to do so. Afterwards I was reminiscing with one of his assistant instructors that I had known from back in the day and we recounted the “DMZ lecture.” The GM overheard us. He did not say a word, he just nodded his head in approval. Amazing what he could convey without saying a word. I also tracked down and secured a copy of the Esquire magazine cover that he was on.
