Ain't it peculiar that a pilot of the U2 ejected out of a Stricken U2 over Soviet Airspace . And paraded out just in time to quash a major nuclear disarmament agreement that both sides looked forward to.
The pilot, given a parachute on this same op , where no parachutes were used previously was shot down and captured after ejecting into History.
And the Cold War warmed up a bit.

His capture was almost a given. And it was used to derail Nuclear disarmament talks.
