Eli Manning's Response to Getting Benched Is a Powerful Lesson in Leadership

Never been an Eli fan after his draft issue with San Diego. But, this certainly has changed my mind...

He did the right thing and thought of his team first, giving the best chance for success to the other quarterbacks instead of focusing on his streak of starts. That is a product of good upbringing. I have little doubt that is a lesson learned from watching and learning from his dad for many years. You don't stumble into that sort of character.

His response is highly commendable. Though I am not a particularly boisterous Manning family fan, I do believe that both Eli and Peyton learned a lot about respect, teamwork, and commitment from their father, Archie. It's not easy being in the public spotlight all these years like they have been, but the boys have handled it remarkably well, far better than most, I'd say.
