I happen to live in the same 55+ park as this disabled vet; although his home was "seized" for failure to pay taxes (even though he HAD paid it prior to the seizure), and sold at sheriff's auction, subsequent legal action has overturned the seizure and sale, & he will remain in his home. For some reason, the sheriff's office did not receive notice that he had paid the taxes before they seized the property. It is to be hoped that all agencies & offices involved have corrected their procedures so as to ensure that this does not happen again!
