On a serious note, I wonder how many suicides had alcohol as a factor? My sister committed suicide on July 4th, 2015 and ALCOHOL was a factor.

I have been to Alcoholics Anonymous meetings on base at the old McChord Air Force Base back in the summer of 2009. Some of them are command-directed while others were voluntary for those who've already been kicked out of the military who just want to keep going so they don't relapse.

I was there because I had a broken ankle and had nothing else better to do since I was there for three months recuperating and my wife and I are AA members. I stopped drinking once I met her in July of 2005. A six-pack of beer would last me a month so I wasn't a problem or binge drinker.
