According to recent news, Walmart has just announced a rollback of their DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) programs, including ending racial equity training for staff and reviewing supplier diversity initiatives, following pressure from conservative groups; this is considered a significant shift in corporate DEI policies.
Other corporations that have recently backed away from DEI policies include Ford, Lowe's, Tractor Supply and Harley-Davidson. When asked if diversity among suppliers remains important to Walmart, Furner turned the focus to small businesses and small suppliers.
