IMHO "Gerrymandering " should never have been allowed in the first place.

I agree, with 1 comment. In Charlotte, NC - with a predominantly black population, the black community was so spread over multiple districts, that there was never any district that a black candidate could win. They gerrymandered, creating a horribly shaped district which was predominantly black. The districts had originally been allocated specifically to ensure there were no black majorities but were less obviously designed and I believe that's the structure they're using again. And the area has been a Republican stronghold.
How do we fix anomalies like this, without gerrymandering?
