Counting the vote: Will we know who won on election night?

I'm certain that we won't know on election night since so many ballots are being cast on paper. Indeed, I think the bigger question is whether or not the media will be allowed to broadcast any results until we've passed submission deadlines (which many states are attempting to extend by several days past Nov 3)
