CNN is not really a “news” station, imo, more of a (left-wing) commentary program. SPC Erich Guenther

Well I went through this before but the borders are so blurred that you really have to pay attention when watching. MSNBC, FOX, ABC, NBC all have non editorialized news reporting it is a tiny fraction of their air time and it is not clearly labeled. However you can watch that portion of FOX News and it closely approximates what is on ABC Nightly News and MSNBC. For FOX there are not labels on the screen for the pure news division and you you have to know the reporter names. Brett Baier, Peter Ducey are regular news reporters that tend not to editorialize too much. There are a few others. The rest on FOX are in the infotainment division FOX & FRIENDS for example is a show that is infotainment and parodies the news or pans the news but is not considered a news reporting show. Same is true on the MSNBC side, a lot of the purchased content belongs to their pure news division. However the ALL IN with Chris Hayes, Rachel Maddow Show, etc is their infotainment division and pans the news vs straight reporting. I think the whole controversy and divisiveness of which channel is more accurate would die if they just returned to screen labeling on the screen of which was NEWS division and which was INFOTAINMENT. Of course that would drive people to turn the channel so its not going to happen voluntarily and regulation would be lobbied against because all the cable channels make more money blurring the division and stirring controversy with thei on air comments.

I say we should regulate Big Tech and the algorithms they use to generate controversial content to generate interest.
