I thought of this for years whenever I see it in movies or on tv. The majority of cars on the road are very poorly maintained as of now, even with inspection laws in some states. Flying cars will never be a reality for the masses for this reason alone. I too wouldn't want to be anywhere near them as they start crashing into the ground. Also I bet the "sky high" insurance rates will dampen the market as well. Plus there will be no stopping people from staying in their lane as they can fly over, under or around what ever they want.

Darwinism expedited. Hopefully these will be self driving/flying and the igits wont have any control, that would be a complete disaster.
