| Clearing up Spitfire Misconceptions

I saw some Spitfires flying around at an airshow I think at Andrews Air Force Base and when they flew by the make the coolest sound. I bet when the enemy heard that they were terrified.

Interesting bit of history!

A lot of common stuff, but the cannon trials were news I hadn't heard. I didn't know that cannon-only test birds equipped a squadron.
