China's Tianwen-1 mission arrives at Mars! Orbit insertion complete

As the majority of us know, China now has the bulk of our Technology due to government and Corporate arrangements and now they are using that technology to embark on their space intentions and to this end, China's Tianwen-1 mission successfully entered Mars orbit on Feb. 10. 2021 after firing its engines for about 15 minutes. "The milestone makes China the sixth entity to get a probe to Mars, joining the United States, the Soviet Union, the European Space Agency, India and the United Arab Emirates, whose Hope orbiter made it to the Red Planet just yesterday (Feb. 9).

And today's achievement sets the stage for something even more epic a few months from now — the touchdown of Tianwen-1's lander-rover pair on a large plain in Mars' northern hemisphere called Utopia Planitia, which is expected to take place this May. Space is supposed to be a cooperative effort of all nations, but I would argue that it will not stand up to the test of time and we will have issues along the way... It has already taken the path of a "Space Race" to the Moon and to Mars... Who will establish a permanent outpost on each of these two celestial objects... It probably will not happen in my lifetime, but perhaps my adult children's lifetime...
