Chief: Space Force must change the way U.S. addresses hardware needs

I couldn't agree more with the concept that our Sr Planners keep wanting to buy Lamborghinis. Many times, what works is edged out by something that is cool, like the A-10/ F-35 debate.
We run the risk of having equipment that is too expensive to accept combat losses, or replace when it breaks.

My two cents: OK well good to hear his opinion on how to save money but I really think their priority should be to clean up all the crap floating around in orbit first as that is a much bigger threat to space operations than another country exploiting an advantage over the United States.

Where are the personnel coming from i.e. re-designation from existing branches, recruiting?
