I have always tried to stay healthy and fit, I think every person should think of their body as a Temple.

Sometimes I think of mine as a resort - during a pandemic - with nobody visiting. Does that count Gunny? ;)
Yea I hear you though. Exercise and diet - especially a healthy diet lifestyle will see you through 95% of this, if not more.

Until recently, I would agree. I retired a few years back. After 30 years in the classroom, I never missed a day of work due to illness. All those sick kids over the years and I never caught cold or the flu. After having my tonsils out at the Naval Hospital in Beaufort, my heath issues were resolved. When I retired, I had to have 200 days of sick leave for each year I wanted to claim towards retirement. I traded in 300 days for a year and a half of credit towards retirement. The balance I traded in for cash. During those same 30 years, I transferred from active duty Marine Corps to the Army National Guard. The exercise program was not as intense as it was in the Corps, but I still did my sit ups, push ups, and running.

I don't run anymore, I trot, I still enjoy the sit ups, and pushups, although I have to admit I don't do as many as I did while active.
