Still thinking about the last war … all signs point to a drone dominated battle space … still looking back when they should be looking forward.

By The Time B-53's Or Even B-21's Arrive To Their Destination,
I'd ASSUME Nuclear Missiles Would Have Been Launched And Done the Job Intended.

A1C Medrick "Rick" DeVaney - If nuclear missiles are ever launched, we will all die. They are "ultimate" weapons, and their widespread use will signal the end of mankind. We (my wife and I and our rescued dogs) live about 7 miles from a primary target. If there is ever a nuclear war, we'll almost surely be vaporized by a large-scale Russian weapon, probably something in the range between 10-50 megatons. There are a lot of war plans (which we cannot discuss in detail) that call for the use of elements of our bomber fleet and that happily don't require nuclear-armed ICBMs. I used to live in Omaha when SAC was our primary striking force. I dated a girl whose father was an Air Force LtCol at SAC. He told me not to worry about a nuclear war, because it wouldn't last long for us. He told me I'd see a bright flash of light and then it would be all over. It might be quick and relatively painless, l but I don't want to die any sooner than I have to.
