Dropping land nav and grenade throwing. Otherwise it sounds like infantry OSUT.

I was a Crew Chief and door gunner on a combat assult chopper in VN and never would have thought grenade training would be relevant to someone in a chopper, until my first heavy combat mission after which I kept several white phosphorus grenades within reaching distance for the enemy, when needed, and one on my 45 belt which I would only use if I was out of rounds for my M-60s and 45 and capture was emanate then my soon to be burnt to a chrisp captures, and I, would get to see the other side of the firey hell we were fighting in. Trust me, there is NO training that should be taken lightly or ignored because as tough as some of it was, way back in the 60s, it brought me home.

SPC Michael Duricko, Ph.D - I also believe that we should take advantage of any training offered. You never know when it will be needed. I'm glad that you were able to use what you learned. Welcome home.
