Mr. Parks, it is a very interesting portrait that was deliberately designed to create a stir about the subject and his tenure, "the labor of our heroes past shall not be in vain".

Laura Parks just informed me that Michelle Obama has not yet shared her portrait on her Twitter feed. Just what does THAT tell ya?

I'm not an art major and I am not of the same ideology of the previous POTUS. I would have liked to have seen a picture like the other 44 before him. I don't think the current portrait is Presidential and I don't get the symbolism. // I am pleased that we shall never have to endure a portrait of HRC.

What's really sad is the president after Donald Trump will have no choice but to Tweet and often because now that we know what the president is thinking when he thinks it, the media will accuse that next president of hiding something. My prediction, is all.

Not really surprised by the painting as its very Wiley. Most of his works are modern version of some classical piece.

Typical modus operandi of today's "artist" in cinema, music, the arts, etc. Take something previously and skillfully created and "make it their own".

There are really only two types of art - that you like and that you don't

SPC David S. - While at the Museum School, I went to many exhibits and watched people intellectualize random splatter on a canvas. I wasn't good at that and just went for the wine.
