No legislation required. There is an Amendment covering the topic. What we need to do is reexamine it's interpretation. The spirit and intent of the 14th Amendment was to grant citizenship to those who had been brought to America against their will. It was never intended to grant citizenship to those who arrived illegally

Correct. Ratified by the 39th Congress in 1866, part of the reconstruction amendments. Never intended for foreigners, per the very words of its author Senator Jacob Howard.(pg 2890)

Capt Gregory Prickett - As if the courts never reverse course. Jack is correct. The amendment was incorrectly interpreted by a previous court. You know it and I know it. I know you don't like it but that is not the point here.
