Air Force Material Command Announces Plans To Keep A-10 Warthogs Flying 'Indefinitely'

Trying to replace the A-10 is like trying to make a better hammer. It has worked just fine for thousands of years...nobody is asking for a better hammer. And the warthog is a BFH.

The A-10 and the F-35 are two totally different aircraft with different missions. I know the USAF states that the F-35 can do CAS...but from thousands of feet up and moving a hell of a lot faster than an A-10. Not my definition of CAS, nor any Marine or Soldier on the ground in deep crap. Semper FI.
