Air Force A-10 will no longer bare teeth overseas with Korea exit

I've followed that aircraft forever. I was at SOS getting a briefing from the A-10 Program Manager when in the middle of the briefing he was handed a note that the first production decision had been passed.

Tha Warthog is still one agile and amazing close air support asset. Knowing parishioners who were A-10 pilots in my first parish influenced my respect for this ugly duckling of the Air Force fleet. It will be missed by those on the ground, in my now old and perhaps wrong opinion.

I've been seeing those A-10s at Andersen AFB lately, and seeing the Korean pilots too, always wondered why they are here.
