I am with Lt Col Scott Shuttleworth on this, I don't see them cutting current benefits but they will get tighter with future claims, I believe.

Not gonna happen...won't get the votes...we will have more veterans serving in congress in Jan than we have had in along time...this is a scare tactic from the left on Bidens way out the door...political hype. Now what they may do is scrutinized future claims a little more as they should...but I came in as a 17 yo kid...I was appr 6% body fat, ripped, and extremely healthy...since my retirement I have had 5 ortho surgeries to repair knees, elbow, shoulders, and neck...been diagnosed with several chronic issues...the military is all I had done for the next 26 years...all of mine are service related but even now the VA doesn't see it that way...IMHO.

Democrats have long required cuts to the discretionary budget to come “equally” from defense and veterans spending to protect the funding of their enforcement arms like the EPA, DOL, DOEd, and NLRB.
But neither party is going to get the debt/deficit under control without addressing its true driver, entitlement spending—aka Medicare and Social Security.
